Meditation Tips
What is meditation?
Meditation is about making the time available to reflect on yourself. You can decide what you want to get out of your meditation practice. For example, you might use meditation to improve your focus and creativity. You can also use meditation as time to relax and remove any stress from your day. There are many ways you can meditate, the one thing they all have in common is that they help bring you closer to yourself.
How do I Meditate?
Meditation is very simple and you can practice it anywhere. A great meditation practice is to witness your breath. It helps you relax and reconnect with your body.
-
Sit or lay down in a comfortable place.
-
Close your eyes and breathe normally.
-
Witness your breath and follow it as you inhale and exhale.
4.If any thoughts come in your head don’t force it out. Just witness your thoughts non judgmentally.
- Let your body and mind relax. Then continue to meditate until you feel ready to end your session.

How long do I need to meditate?
You only need to meditate for 5 minutes a day. It really is not about how long you meditate per session, but how frequently you meditate. It is a lot easier to build a habit of meditating when you only have to spend 5 minutes doing it instead of 1 hour. Also, there is research by a Carnegie Mellon professor demonstrating that it only takes 25 minutes of meditation to see the physiological effects. What should I expect while meditating?
You do not have to expect anything from your meditation session. Each time you practice you will experience something new. Sometimes you will feel nothing after a meditation session, other times you will feel relaxed or even inspired. Don’t worry if you do not feel anything that is normal.
